Florian Bonnet is a distinguished product leader known for blending scientific rigor, behavioral insights, and business acumen.
He has over a decade of experience driving product, growth and transformation at companies like HelloFresh and Typeform through innovative, data-driven strategies. Holding a PhD in Theoretical physics and a MSc in Behavioral Science, Florian combines analytical precision with a human-centered approach to product management. After academia, Florian transitioned to the Boston Consulting Group, advising on strategy and operations, before engaging in his startup journey through positions in data, marketing, and product.
A recognized thought leader, mentor, and educator, Florian is a sought-after speaker at international conferences.
Long Bio
Florian Bonnet is a seasoned Product Leader with a unique combination of scientific rigor, business acumen, and customer-centricity.
Currently serving as VP of Product at Fintecture, he led Product Teams at ambitious technology companies, including HelloFresh and Typeform, for a decade, where he consistently drove double-digit growth through data-driven product strategy.
Florian started his career as a researcher in Theoretical Physics, where he published top-cited articles in his domain and presented his work at some of the most prestigious conferences in the field (for the curious his articles can be found here).
He moved from academia to start as a Senior Associate at the Boston Consulting Group office in Paris. There, he worked for prestigious companies in the CAC 40 on missions spanning from boosting operational margin in OEM, helping restructure a Major Bank Business Unit to supporting a potential Merger & Acquisition by identifying talent synergies. During his time, he supported the publications of thought leadership pieces on the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Digital Advertising and Talent Management in the rise of freelancing.
Florian began his journey in the startup world by joining Jumia, Africa’s leading e-commerce company, as Lead Customer Intelligence Analyst. There, he developed a comprehensive Voice of the Customer reporting suite for all markets and explored innovative recommendation opportunities to boost sales and margins.
Following this, Florian moved to Berlin to join HelloFresh as Head of CRM, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s remarkable growth both before and after its IPO. He built the global CRM team from scratch, leading the development of robust customer lifecycle strategies that drove growth through effective acquisition, retention, and reactivation initiatives. Concurrently, Florian began his journey as a Product Manager, leading a team of four engineers to implement HelloFresh’s CRM solution. Florian's career at HelloFresh evolved into several Product Leadership roles, where he oversaw Virality and later led the entire Acquisition Tribe. Working closely with the Marketing Leadership, he helped propel HelloFresh’s accelerating growth.
After nearly four years at HelloFresh, Florian joined Zizoo, a digital marketplace for holiday boat rentals. As part of the top leadership team, he supported the company through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, navigating a period of nearly zero revenue. He led the Product, Design, and Data teams, introducing strong operational principles to accelerate outcomes and fostering a culture of experimentation. During this time, Florian also pursued an Executive MSc in Behavioral Science at the London School of Economics, blending analytical rigor with insights into human behavior to inform his product strategies.
In spring 2021, Florian joined Typeform, where he was recruited to establish the Product Growth function and drive the company’s scale-up phase. He introduced a robust experimentation framework through his Testing Lab and aligned product and marketing teams around shared customer-centric goals. During his tenure, Florian also led the Core Product teams, CRM team, and Pricing function. As the Revenue Driver for the Product Organization, he collaborated with the Finance team to create a rigorous operational system ensuring high product ROI, spanning budgeting, planning, and ongoing business reporting.
Florian now leads the Product and Design teams at Fintecture, where he is focused on building the company’s foundations for its next scaling phase.
A recognized thought leader in the product management space, Florian frequently shares his expertise at prestigious events and is the author of The Power of Analytics, a comprehensive guide to data-driven decision-making for product managers.
As a mentor and educator, Florian has dedicated over 100 hours to supporting aspiring product leaders in their career growth and teaches Data-Driven Decision Making at ProductLab Berlin.
Currently splitting his time between Berlin and Barcelona, Florian combines his product leadership role with advisory services, helping startups and scale-ups optimize their product strategies and organizational structures.
